How to Play
SINKO is a competitive game for 4 players. The objective is to be the first team or player to earn 5 points. Points are scored by sinking the ball into the correct holes on the playing surface. Which holes are your goal is determined by the game type explained below.
Each player stands centered along a different side. Players holds the board with 1 hand at each of the 2 corners adjacent to their side, with their palms facing down.
A round begins with the ball placed on the small indentation in the center of the board. On a count of 3, players will begin trying to tilt the board, causing the ball to roll in the direction of their choosing.
After a goal is made, the ball is retrieved from the hole by pushing up from the underside of the board. The ball is returned to the center of the board to start the next round. If during play the ball bounces off the board and onto the ground, the round is ended and restarted.
Game #1 (Quadrants):
Teams are assigned to players facing each other from the opposite sides of the board. The goals assigned to each player & team will be the colors of the holes next to each player's right hand. Each time a goal is made, that team scores 1 point. The first team to reach 5 points wins!
Game #2 (Inside/Outside):
Teams are assigned to players facing each other from the opposite sides of the board. The goal for each team will be either the 4 holes near the center, or the 8 holes around the outside. The coloring around the holes do not matter for this game. Each time a goal is made, that team scores 1 point and the goals for each team switch. The first team to reach 5 points wins!
Game #3 (Free-for-all):
Each player is trying to score a goal in the hole matching their player color. The color assigned to each player is the color of the two holes next to their right hand. Each time a goal is made, that player scores 1 point. The first player to reach 5 points wins!
Tips for a better game:
- Refrain from uncontrolled shaking or bouncing of the board.
- Keep the level of the board below the chest line and above a low-hip line.
- Retrieved the ball by slapping the hole from the underside of the board.
